Durable & Breathable Fabric

Our Karst fabric is 90% 13.7oz 1000D nylon with four-way stretch and 10% spandex. The fabric has a tough, yet comfortable hand-feel and feels surprisingly pleasant to wear. Spandex allows for a full range of motion.

Timeless Fit & Style

Unlike most utility pants, the Karst actually fits well and looks good. It easily flies under the tactical radar while boasting a huge amount of tough utility. It runs the same base fit as the Flex Canvas with just a bit more room.

Secure, Subtle, & Functional Pockets

Nine tactical pockets are subtly integrated for maximal function and minimal headache.

Mesh Interior Liner

Wicking and super soft, our unique mesh liner reduces sweat and is ridiculously comfortable on your important parts.

Drawstring Cuff Closure

A cinching pull-tab cuff lets you decide how tightly your pant hugs your boot.

Diamond Gusset & Articulated Knees

Make movement a priority.

Security & Reinforcement

YKK lockdown zippers keep your mind on the trail - not on losing your stuff - while double layer fabric strengthens common stress points.

Love the products but consistency is awful

I have a pair of Karst from last year that I love. Ordered another pair in the new khaki color that came out. Ordered the same size as my existing Karst. The new pair fit much slimmer through the legs, which I honestly prefer, same on the waist, but the 30" inseam is noticeably shorter, by almost an inch. I didn't return them because I've tried the 32" previously and they felt too long, and I thought these aren't *too* far off - maybe they'll relax out a bit after a couple of washes, but here I am with a pair of expensive trousers that feel like highwaters the more I wear them and that I generally now avoid wearing. I've had these inconsistent sizing issues on a couple of previous orders as well and I'm starting to wonder why I keep coming back to this brand. It's annoying that I want to keep buying the exact same pant and I have to buy a different size each time. I'd imagine if I had returned them and gotten the 32" inseam they'd probably be manufactured an inch too long and I'd keep sending back pants until I find one that actually matches my pair from last year.

Great

Great fit! Seems super durable with a good amount of stretch, but I'm waiting for cooler weather to test them out. Note that these are heavy if you plan to use them for backpacking or sports where weight is a concern.

Heavy duty but flexible

Heavy pants but still easy to move in them. Good for winter and great pockets as always!

Karst Pant

Heavy duty fabric but very breathable. Excellent fit in a 32x32. Using these as dual sport/adventure riding Moto pants with Bowtex Elite pants under them for additional abrasion/impact protection.

Wish I could wear them every day

After owning five pairs of flex canvas, I bought a pair of Karst, actually own two now. One pair I use strictly for outdoor dirty activities, the second I keep clean for just wearing around town and lounging. I love how they are pretty heavy and thick, I feel just as comfortable relaxing on my sofa wearing socks as I do hiking around the back and side-country.

I love having side vents just like my winter gear and I find the additional front pockets very convenient for smaller items. The large side leg pockets are great for my phone, Leatherman or bag of dog treats. I have not found use for the elastic ankle cinches but I could see how they could be used while bushwhacking with tall boots.

When I first got them I took them out for a hike in a late season snowstorm, about a foot on the ground. I was quite impressed with how the snow simply shook off of them and did not saturate the material at all. I can see myself using them next winter a lot as I live in snow country.

I do think it is important to care for these pants and a particular way, I wash cold followed by stretching out the legs and air drying. This technique has kept them at basically the same length prior to my first wash. If you can size up you could probably get away with using a dryer on low temp however unfortunately for me sizing up was way too long.

Definitely recommend these pants for really anything: laying on the couch, looking cool or get after it in nature.

Went with 32x32 (could use 33”L)
