A waterproof cotton? Wool insulation? Silk liner? The combination sounds like its from the Shackleton expedition or a steampunk version of the future where nobody has ever heard of PFAS's or Gortex.
Well, these features piqued my curiosity and I had to give it a try. My jacket comes from the kickstarter campaign - and so was among the first produced. I've worn it for going on 2 winters now, and I'm nothing but impressed. Down to about freezing it is fine atop a t-shirt. Want more warmth? Put on a hoodie or sweater under it and you're good to go.
The jacket wears warm, but it isn't impossible to wear up to the high 50s, particularly if you stay out of the sun.
The real treat is rain protection. I've gotten caught out in a couple heavy showers and it has never wet through. The jacket itself gets a bit heavier when wet, but I stayed nice and dry within it. And it dries much faster than it has any right to!
Add to this the looks (which I love) and the pockets (which are numerous and useful), and you've got yourself one of the best daily-drivers of a jacket that money can buy.
